The Vermont Farm Bureau held its 2025 Annual Meeting on November 1 at the Red School House in Randolph Center, bringing together delegates, alternates, members, and guests from across the state for a day of celebration, leadership elections, and policy discussions.
The event began with recognition of outgoing board members, honoring their dedication and years of service to the organization and Vermont’s agricultural community. Following the recognition ceremony, members elected new officers to guide the Vermont Farm Bureau into the upcoming year.
Newly elected officers include:
Mary White, formerly 1st Vice President, will assume the role of President.
John Franklin, President of Windham County Farm Bureau, will serve as 1st Vice President.
Scott Birch, President of Orleans County Farm Bureau, will serve as 2nd Vice President.
Tom Pyle, long-time board member of Rutland County Farm Bureau, will serve as Secretary.
Adrienne Card, Secretary/Treasurer of Chittenden County Farm Bureau, will serve as Treasurer.
Jackie Folsom, outgoing President, will take on the role of Promotion and Engagement Chair.
Alex Thibault, a fifth-generation dairy farmer, will serve as Young Farmer and Rancher Chair.
Following a catered lunch provided by Locarno’s To Go, attendees engaged in the policy portion of the meeting, concluding shortly after 2:00 p.m.
Vermont Farm Bureau’s strength lies in the dedication and collaboration of its members. The Vermont Farm Bureau extends its gratitude to all who participated in this year’s meeting, as well as to its generous sponsors, United Ag and Turf and Fewer Agency, for their continued support of Vermont’s agricultural industry.
